Hello! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Blues and light Green. (The colors I had that "sort of" matched the SU! colors are Mark's Finest Papers colors: Breezy Blue and Willow Wind. I used a piece of Basic Grey designer paper for the background-It's close to the other SU! blue.
I wanted to use this humming bird today. It's a favorite stamp for me, and I was just reading a book about hummingbirds! (How great is it when you "need" to use a stamp for a challenge? LOL)
I also used part of a Prima Say it With Crystals embellishment. I'm so happy my friend Lois, aka Clownmom on SCS, suggested we carry this line of embellishments. I've only opened ONE of these and have used pieces of it on at LEAST 3 cards so far! And, there is MORE than half of it left! You know, I'm the cheapest woman alive, so I have to say, I was soooooo thrilled that this ONE package has gone this far!
I wanted this to look "rough" so I ran the background through the Sizzix Textures folder and then rubbed part of the "color" off with a sanding block. Next, I sponged in some of the areas with Distress ink.
The image was stamped in VersaFine, HEAT SET, and then colored with Copics.
What do you think?
Finished card size; 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
