Here is my entry for this week's Inspiration challenge which asked us to take inspiration from a really cool online store (which being in the UK I had never heard of but so glad to have found it!) called "Ruche"
I have been waiting to find a suitable project for one of my newest punches and the cute little fallow deer in this set gave me the perfect excuse to get creative!
The deer have been made using the Martha Stewart Reindeer punch, coloured with copics and spottily highlighted with a white gel pen.
The background scene was created using a tree stamp by Inkadinkado which I then coloured with a combination of copics, watercolour pencils and chalks for the sky.
I dry embossed the card blank by hand (I don't have any machines to do it for me! Boo! Hoo!) with a Fiskars texture plate in woodgrain to complement the tree theme. Popped the whole lot up on dimensionals and after adding a Making Memories Jelly Label for the Thank You sentiment, the card was finished!
This is a first for me as it is the VERY first time I have actually managed to complete AND upload a card on the same day that the challenge has been set so for me it is a HUGE achievement! LOL! (I am usually soooooo slow it's not true!)
However today I was feeling really sorry for myself as I was due to have my bi-annual day out to the biggest craft fair here in the UK with my DS's, but unforseen family circumstances prevented us from going and I had been looking forward to it for months! (Hmmph!) Actually getting inky instead of spending more money on yet more "stuff" I will probably never use! has had to suffice as second best. Roll on November until the next one!
Thanks so much for stopping by and may your inkpads never run dry! x

WOW - what a gorgeous and CREATIVE little scene. First - sorry you missed the fair but at least there's another one in November (which may seem like forever right now LOL). I'm sooo amazed at how you mixed mediums to create the scene, and how well those punched reindeer look - this is genius!! And the background texture looks better and more pronounced than when I run that fiskars plate through my CuttleBug - so you're onto something here!! Love it!!
