I am coming fashionably late to the gallery where the teaparty clan is gathering this week. We were to bring some framed art to the gallery, and my Mojo was hiding until I saw today's Inspiration Challenge. I love Kirklands! I used this lovely landscape print on canvas as my inspiration:
Since I have very rudimentary art skills, I used the classic SU! set, Lovely as a Tree, to create this landscape. I stamped the bushy tree in blue first, then in chocolate chip, and then with tea colored distress ink. I then used the stamp with all the cool trees on it. I drew in the shadows in the water with a marker and covered the water in glossy accents.
This card is going to Haeli - a special and talented girl who is facing down one of the biggest monsters out there (ovarian cancer). From what I read about her, she approaches life with much joy despite what she has been dealing with - what an inspiration she is! I can't even play one instrument and she plays at least 3 and is only in the 6th grade.
PT: 1 punch used 8 times (4 on the inside).

Wow, beautiful landscape picture to hang on the wall, and so daintily framed too. No worries about being late when you're bringing along something as gorgeous as this.

Sistah! How gorgeous! Lovely as a Tree is a fav SU of all time (ok, right next to Da MAN) and you have used it to the max! (level 40,000). Your reflection of the trees is a wonder and your framing is delish! LYMIMIMI!
Pssst....right now I am "dreaming" up a CA/AL! Woot! Hugs....
