This was suppose to be my Christmas card. It turned out to be such a big undertaking that I was only able to get about 6 of these done! So it ended up only going out to a few people, and since I didn't get them done in time they turned out to be my "winter" cards!! Oh well, I had fun creating them! I was able to practice my brayering (need more practice) and try out a new cricut lite cart too. The layers of snow are popped up and so are the deer. The snowflake is a dimensional sticker I've had in my stash. Oh, it's hard to see but the whole scene is sprayed with pearl mist (Tim Holtz) It gives it a nice wintery shimmer.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This beauty just goes to show that if a thing is worth doing don't rush it! I bet the lucky 6 who got these stunners were overwhelmed by such hard work, time and love.
I totally empathise with your dilemma as I can go one better and very (ashamedly) admit that I only got around to finishing and sending 2! LOL! I spend all year faffing about thinking that I've got ages to get organised then before I know it, It's Christmas Eve! The upside of this is that my cards are so rare that they are collectors items! LOL!
I love everything about this, especially the snow on the trees, the shadows you have created and your brayering looks darned wonderful to me! Great Card

I have found that starting around this time of year to make my "detailed" Christmas cards is just about the right time frame, and then sometimes it still isn't enough time, depending on how much time you have put into each card. I love making cards, andn never realize just how much time I pur in to some cards ! I think it shocks some people when you ask more than a couple of dollars for a card ( if you are selling them )....but then on the other hand, those same people would think nothing of going out and spending mega bucks on Christmas Cards each year! I treasure all the homemade cards ( yes, even the ones I have gotten from little children that they drew on construction or notebook paper !
Getting back to your grogeous card ....The photo didn't to it justice of course ! Did you use Crystal effects on the trees ? Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us today !
