I've been looking for ways to use the new paper I got by My Mind's Eye -Stella & Rose -Mabel. The wood grain paper is amazing and fit perfectly with the 'In the Forest' set by Mark's Finest Papers. This was my first attempt at coloring this image, so for this try I used Stamping Up Old Olive and Cool Carribean ink pads and sponge for the trees and sky. The animals are colored with copic markers, as well as the tree trunks. I have to say, if I had a favorite copic marker, it would be E08. It has the amazingly boring name of 'Brown', which fails miserably in describing this orange, rust, terracotta, fabulous color!! I end up using it in almost every project for hair, fur, flowers, pots, wood, it's the greatest color ever, it even ends up being a great way to darken red! I used it in this project on the deer and chipmunk. All the papers are my My Mine's Eye and Stamping Up and I added Martha Stewart branch punch and Spellbinders pinecones. All the papers are embossed with embossing folders.
