Instructions are simple: Christmas card in green and red on white or cream.
I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of one layer cards. Not that this one is perfect, but a lot more planning went into it than my previous ones. I cut up scrap paper into card-front size and played with some layouts before playing with the good cardstock. I was inspired by the strong horizontal lines in Late Blossom's sample, although I did toy with some curved designs. I showed all of my layouts to my husband and he liked this best.
When it was time to actually make the card, I very carefully positioned the line and the sentiment with my stamp-a-ma-jig. The green line is actually half of one of the stamps from SU! Perfect Plaid (a set I don't usually play with because it's so hard to get those stamps straight). The bulb image is from Stamps by Judith, and I added a little Glossy Accents to give them some shine and dimension.
I stuck with traditional red and green, and gave myself the liberty of actually using "Merry Christmas." I usually stick with "Peace on Earth" or "Happy Holidays" because I have a lot of non-Christians on my list.
