I made these little vintage valentines to give to friends and to hang as a decoration.
I used glimmer mist on the doilie (wheatfields) to age it.
I folded the paper to make the rosette. I added crepe paper to the back of the I love you image. (I got the images last year from paper bag toppers at Hobby Lobby.)
I hung the decoration with hand died seam binding (glimmer mist), I sewed a button and tied with twine.
I am pleased with how they turned out.

I wish you could have heard me when I enlarged your card for viewing - I had the biggest AAAAHHHH roll out. This is totally adorable - everything about it, Bev! It reminds me of when I was little (kindergarten through maybe 2nd grade), the nuns would have us make a box and decorate it with our names on them and they would sit along the window sill the week up until Valentine's Day. We couldn't open them until we got home and read all the little cards! That was a reeeaaallllyyy long time ago! Fun memory.

Well of course I love dmy valentine's card, but this one is pretty special too. OMGoodness, that image really reminds me of the valentines I used to give to kids at school. Your decorative hanger valentine is just as special to me as you are, my friend.
