Well, thought I'd best get my QFTD card to honour Her Royal Highness (aka Her Royal Pain-in-the-Hiney - HRPITH) Pamzi, Queen of the Fruitflakes created and uploaded today before anyone tells her that she has to give up her crown when the next QFTD is crowned. Ay yi yi!! That'll be a scene to behold...!!!
HRPITH Pamzi believes that acronym "QFTD" stands for "Queen Forever, Total Diva" and as such, has allowed her head to swell to such an extent that the crown has become quite tight. The immediate result of this Tight Crown Syndrome has been quite something to behold as Queen Fruitflake has buzzed about her courtyard threatening to send anyone and everyone to 'the tower' and, in some cases, to the 'chopping block'. The only solution to Tight Crown Syndrome is to remove the crown. Good luck with that Peggy!!
In all seriousness, pam124, or Pamzi my "Original Punch Pal" as I have come to know her, is a real gem in the SCS world. Creative cardmaker, commenter extraordinaire, crazy comedienne, Flaky Fruitcake, but best of all, friend. I first connected with Pamzi about 2 years ago (in the days before she used a fancy bathmat for her photo shoots) and immediately noticed that we were kindred spirits when it came to our love of punches. I made a comment about it on this VERY bright card. (Put on your sunglasses before you click that link!) From that comment we started messaging and have been "Palz" ever since.
I used that VERY bright card as my starting point for this card but used very regal blue and gold pearlized cardstock. The crown is a digital file (as is the buzzy, busy Queen Bee on the inside). Glitzed and gilded both images with my metallic Gelly Roll pens. Added lots of pearls and punching for Pamzi. Chose the arched punch 'cause it made me think of the points on fancy crowns.
Yes, Pamzi my Fruitflake friend, you are one of a kind indeed. Perhaps we should be thankful for that. Hugz to you Queen Pamzi. Hope you have enjoyed your reign.
PT: At least 8 different punches were dusted off in the making of this card.
BTW: You must check out this Official Portrait of Da Queen by the creator of the QFTD challenges herself. Love it!

I just love this Crown for our stepping down Queen. Really love the sweet little bee inside too. Oh you don't know half of it do you now Heather, have a peek at the New Queen and see what you think about that one!
So glad you could make it to honour our Fruitcake and darling stamper friend. xo

What a fun card and sweet write-up, Izzy! Thanks for all of the links that illuminate your long history with HRPITH Pamzi. That sure explains a lot!! You made her crown so pretty, though, that it's going to be even harder for her to part with. Didja hafta add so many pearls to it??? You know her weaknesses. She'll never give it up now!

I knew before I opened the photo this was your tribute to Pambelina. Fabulous write up and you should make it into her good books with this wonderful card. Love your definition of QFTD. We'll have to let Ms. Pamzi down gently when we tell her she's been mistaken.

Well, you are just the cat's meow, girl. Look at this more than fabulous card to honor our big-heated past queen. I love your creativity with this one, girl. Your crown is perfect and the inside is just as sweet. Whoa, what a fabulous card this is for fruitcake.

Oh, this is a great card for Pamzi. Now, at least, she'll have a crown to look at when she has to give hers away. Glad you didn't make yours as bright as you know which one. If she had been using that bath mat at the time, it may would have toned it down a bit. Nope, doubt it. LOL
Hmmm, now we know who is going to be wrestling that crown from the Queen, don't we? Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - I actually started looking at this card 15 minutes ago, but I clicked on all your links and went on a wild goose chase. I was temporarily blinded by the original Pamzi card - I didn't take your warning seriously. It was pretty once my eyes adjusted. Then I had to pick myself up off the floor from rolling around laughing at that Anne Ryan creation and all the comments everyone wrote. It was a fun adventure during my lunch break - thanks for the links and for your fun story as well. Made my day. Oh, and I love your card - especially the inside.

Okay, you did go pick that BRIGHT card that I hate and only had one comment on - YOURS!! Oh, the days when the washing machine was enough for my photo shoots. I'm so glad I've graduated to the bathroom mat.
Dizzi, I LOVE your various stories, but especially how we became Punch Pals. Isn't it funny how something like that can bring stampers together?
You always make me laugh with my new names - there's no end to it. But, I see you have STOLEN MY CROWN this week as QFTD. That's okay, with my head getting so big, it was painful to wear that darn crown. Now that I'm only a Princess, you will have to come get the crown yourself. I don't get as many treasures as a lowly Princess.
Now, to your very creative card. You know, it looks like a very LARGE crown befitting of my swollen head. And, look at those pearls galore. B/t the pearls, border punch, crown, punchez and sentiment, you have royally honored me.
Now, as to that fraudulent queen photo by Anne Ryan, I beg to differ. It doesn't look anything like me, except, of course, for the beautifully coordinated attire. You would have to go case one of my ugly cards and link my ugly photo made by Anne Ryan. What are friends for? Although, the image is so darn cute in a weird kind of way.
Now, I will no longer be a pain in the hiney as Queen, but I will always reign as A PAIN IN THE HINEY!
