I know, you're wondering "How did that cover inspire you to make a Monster card? Well, honestly, I was looking through the album covers thinking "These just aren't my style." But I kept coming back to this cover. When I sat down to make my monster card, I realized that I wanted to use the orange and blues and greens, partly because of that album cover. So, there it is.
I felt like doing a Monster birthday card, and this is what I came up with it. It's a "flip" card. You pull the blue tab slowly, and the top picture flips over to reveal the one under neath.
For the birthday cake, I used the Birthday stamp from "Fun & Fast Notes." I inked it up with a marker, and just didn't ink up the "Happy Birthday Wishes."
For the last picture, I inked up the "Happy Birthday" but not the rest of the stamp.
The monsters are stamped in their respective colors for the darker outline, then colored in with a blender pen. The eyes and mouths are stamped in Early Espresso.
Fun card that I think a child would think is "cool." Hope you all like.
