Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I have to admit....I still have WAY too many Holiday cards to create, but I could NOT resist using this set for today's challenge. I just LOVE stamps, (postage and stamping ones)! Our post office has reproductions of enlarged stamps all over the walls for sale. I swear, I'd have one of each of the floral ones for my home if not for the simple fact that they are VERY expensive. (And the fact that my husband, Mark, KNOWS how much they are, so I couldn't even slip a few in under the "money radar!" LOL)
I decided to use Aqua Light 100lb card stock and Cherry Slush 100lb card stock as my main colors. I added in some orangie yellow to "mellow" the harshness of the black. The image was stamped in Adirondack's Pitch Black and colored in with Copics. I stamped the image again, onto scrap paper and cut out the butterfly. I colored it and popped it onto the other butterfly, using a pop dot on just one wing. (The other wing in glued flush with the paper.)
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 42 minutes...Speedy the Cat decided I needed to get the puppies, (now weighing over 75 pounds!), out of the house for some peace and quiet! That task took about 10 minutes because it's only 31 degrees outside, and they are Florida dogs! So the card didn't really take that long to make!
