I'm having a difficult couple of days...Markie has been "off his mark" at school, I haven't spoken to my father in 2 days...(he is at home, and my sister has spoken to him, but he will NOT open the door for me. She assures me he is taking his meds and that he is just being stubborn.) Oh...and on top of that...I've been meeting with suppliers. Do you know how much I dislike sitting in meetings KNOWING that I have work to be done? But...there is a HUGE upside...I get to pick and choose over FABULOUS papers and textiles! That part of the meetings, I love!heeheehee
I love this Curio Paper pad by Basic Grey. When we got in the shipment, I grabbed out 12 pads, JUST FOR ME! I have to admit, this pad has inspired so MANY Christmas cards for me! I would NEVER have made a pink/nude Poinsettia, but here she is!
I embossed the poinsettia in gold and used sponges to color in and shade the leaves. the colors were ALL Palette Inks: Nude, Boudour Blush and Landscape. Next, I went over several areas with Memento Markers and used an aqua painter to blend. I think it gave more "depth" to the petals and leaves.
Finished card size: 5" square.
Total time to complete: 33 minutes

Hi, Faith! Your card is beautiful. Love how you colored your pointsettia. Sorry you've been stressed about things lately. Sometimes we all expect so much of ourselves. Let's try to pace ourselves through this busy holiday season and enjoy each day. Hugs to you.
