Hi! I made this card for today's color challenge: real red, old olive and river rock! I added some subtle coloring to the image; mostly in river rock. The card is for my nephew's birthday!
Have you ever gotten so busy making cards for a particular holiday and for certain events that you forgot all about a family member's birthday?? Well, I have!! I've been so busy making TY cards, Christmas cards and sympathy/get well cards that I completely forgot my nephew's birthday is tomorrow. I mean, I knew it was on Dec. 1, but I forgot that Dec. 1 is TOMORROW!! I thought it was next week! Can you believe that December 2010 is almost here?????????? Time really does fly when you're old!
Anyway, TFL and have a fun day!!

l love the way you used the large image in black and white, framing it in the colors. The twine adds to the masculine look. And, yes, I have 2 December birthdays that I struggle to remember. Hope nephew feels the love you put into his card.

This is so striking with the big black and white image against the red and the green! Fabulous guy card. Identifying with your feeling of where has time gone - my son is 21 today - and I'm thinking, how did that happen so quickly??!!!

How lovely, Gail. I know it isn't, but it has a Bev Dolittle quality to it with the black/white birches and patches. I find it a very intriguing design.
