I'm here for Teapot Tuesday & I hope there is still some hot tea left for me.
This week we are headed for London (London, Ohio that is). We are to bring things Victorian - lace, fine china, flowers, etc. When I think Victorian I think big gorgeous blooms of cabbage roses, hydrangea & peonies so I just had to use my "blooming" vellum as a backdrop. It lead to a rather large card (This thing just kept growing). The buttons in the corner are from a collection that belonged to my grandmother. Having lived through the depression, she recycled many things & buttons were just one example. Needing white buttons for a project several years ago I went through her collection. I was amazed to find over & again buttons that I remembered from this sweater or that dress. It was a joy to wander down that memory lane again as I made this card.

Vicky.......this is a perfect card. All the tea images and the wonderful buttons. I have my own granny's button tin....they are all from pieces of clothing worn by family members. You have most certainly captured the feelings of the tea parties we give.
Thank You

Did you ever bring a great collection of Victoriana - those buttons caught my eye straight off, and the lace. I used to have an old pair of kid gloves like that for dress-up, I think they were my grandmothers.

Love those images... perfect for this week's party, and that "blooming" vellum is GORGEOUS! I'm another one who loves going through my grandmother's button tin.
