Today's CAS challenge was something I do on almost all of my cards - sponging!
I stamped my little village directly on my white card - then I sponged the edges with Stormy sky around the outside edges and Weathered Wood closer to the center. I tore another piece of white CS for my snowy ground - sponged the edges of that and added dazzling diamonds along the top edge as well as on the trees and rooftops.
The sponging makes it look like a wonderful cold winter's night doesn't it?!
I die cut the smallest nestie snowflake, sponged it, dazzled it and popped it up on a foam dimensional next to the sentiment. Finally, I added light to the windows with a yellow Copic.

Such a cozy card. Makes me wish I were home inside my house where I could be reading a book in front of the fire. Funny what a pretty card can do for someone.

You are stamping after having surgery? You must be up to it or else there is no keeping us creative addicts away. Hee. Wishing you well wishes and thoughts. I love this beauty. It looks like that here. It snowed last night and today.

This really looks like a winter's night! Love the light in the windows where they are all snug and warm!

Love your winter village, Julia! The torn snowbank and light in the windows are perfect touches! I see from other posts that you just had surgery--glad you're up to stamping--take care of yourself!
