Joan has a fabulous new technique challenge to stamp with water. I wanted to experiment a bit, so I stamped with my alcohol/Shimmerz mixture and it gives such a lovely subtle sheen to the snowflakes! I first sponged 3 different distress inks on white CS: Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, & Tea Dye. I then stamped the 3 different snowflake images (new from Verve) by spraying the stamp with alcohol/Shimmerz mixture. I heat set it, then stamped a few more snowflakes using Pink Passion (I miss this hot pink in the SU palette!) & Old Olive. It's difficult to capture the beauty of the BG on camera, but it really does make a unique BG! The layout is another great one by Julee Tilman for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

What a dynamite card! Only a really great artist would put the exactly right amount of each color in the perfect places to make something this spectacular. I was particularly glad you chose Shimmerz so that's one less thing I have to leave to chance when I give this technique a try today. (My experiments usually waste too much effort and products!)
