It looks huge, but it actually fits in an A2 envelope.
This is for the November 2010 WRak Creation Station Challenge #3 -"No sketch this month, instead we're doing Shaped cards! You may do any shape except square, rectangular, or round! Think Christmas stockings, boots, coffee cups, flowers, mittens, animals, etc!"
Here's the funny story about this card:
I thought I'd try a shaped card even though it's not within my realm of card making. I chose to attempt a mitten.
I hand drew the shape several times, consulted with a friend as to how to place the fold, fiddled and fiddled for a couple of hours, dug around for something to jazz it up, finally put the finishing touches on it and then it was time to upload.
That's when I realized what I had done!!
The main criteria for these challenges is to use something received via Wish RAK...well this mitten card doesn't contain any Wish RAK items - none!
I couldn't believe my eyes. What to do?
I decided to upload it anyway, if I don't get the bonus wishes, that's OK with me. So funny!!

Ha! I can't tell you how many times I've done just that. I start in one direction with something from Wish-RAK in mind and then end up someplace completely different with nothing from Wish-RAK in sight. I usually place a Top Note inside when this happens but obviously, this would not work here.
Well done. Impressive that you started the whole thing from scratch instead of using a template of some sort. I like the embossed snowflakes on the DP.

Baha,ha,ha! Don't worry Carol that happens to me all the time, then I'm scrambling for some brads, ribbon, or something that I got in one of the secret exchanges or something!
Being from Michigan I was taught early how to use my hand to make a mitten card ;)

Your mitten is adorable - I really like the shape and the colors!
Me, too - I have found myself scrambling for a bit of ribbon or rhinestone to add to a card to make it "legal" for WishRAK!
