This is for the Holiday ATC swap here on the boards. I created a set of 5 cards that all used vintage photography negatives as the focal. My mother sent me these negatives in a vintage "care package" and I immediately knew that with a little embellishment, they would be perfect for Halloween. All the images are of a family from rural Kansas taken during the 1920's...I hope they don't mind the creative license I took!
For this card, I kept the paper background neutral and added a grinning skull (bedecked with a proper witch hat) and a wee lil' hat. The photo negative went on top of that, positioned so the small hat would be atop one of the innocent little children (who bear a striking resemblance to the Children of the Corn). The text reads "Beware the time is here" and is framed with some decorative paper and orange crepe paper. Pretty haunting, all in all.
Phrase and hat from lisasalteredart.
Skull from itkupilli.

You have certainly reminded me of Children of the Corn - one of the scariest movies ever/ still can't really watch the whole thing. The combination of negatives and other images makes a very eerie effect. Kathy
