This is for the Holiday ATC swap here on the boards. I created a set of 5 cards that all used vintage photography negatives as the focal. My mother sent me these negatives in a vintage "care package" and I immediately knew that with a little embellishment, they would be perfect for Halloween. All the images are of a family from rural Kansas taken during the 1920's...I hope they don't mind the creative license I took!
For this card, I inked the background with distress ink and then adhered a quite creepy witch/ghost being. I once again used gesso on the back of the negative to highlight the figure of the little girl and layered the negative onto the card. I also applied a transparent border, some black bling and a phrase covered in mica to the outer layer of the card. The phrase says "something wicked this way comes" and I can't decide if these two spirits are dreading the arrival of something that would creep even them out...
