Congrats to Holly, aka Kopy Kat, for being selected this week's Queen For The Day!
Wow, what a joy to celebrate your gallery and your presence here on SCS, Holly. Hope that gorgous gold and diamond crown isnt wearing out just yet. I've head some Queens had to purchase a neck brace to from falling either front or backward. Hope that's not the case with you, Holly.
Anyway, although you're relatively new to SCS, you've managed to create a lofty gallery filled with amazing creations. My job of selecting one or more of your creations was not an easy one. As I journeyed through your collection, there were 1, 2, 3 and more cards I want to case. Prepare yourself ~ more to come.
I loved this creation Holly actually crafted on my behalf a few week's ago. I loved it then and I'm still loving it. Check this OUT.
I've modified Holly's QFTD card slightly. Really, it's only been slighted changed.
Here's what I did:
1. Changed the image and moved it more to the left.
2. Used torn texturized paper (DCVW) in place of the wave punched edge.
3. Used a multi colored button to replace the circular shell.
4. Move it up above the torn paper rather than below.
Holly, it is surely not an easy task to case one of your beauties, but I'm hoping you can still see your sketch somewhere in this card.
I adore this Erte image, so I was so anxious to be able to use it. It's definitely not as darling as the sweet girl image you used, but it's definitely my style.
Hope you've had an amazing day and be sure to come back often throughout the week to see even more cards.

Oh Anne, I love this. She is a beauty and your card design and colors are amazing. Just the splash of color to match the perfectly placed button and the hint of texture at the bottom is so exquisite. Thank you so much, I am so flattered by your kind comments and your choosing me for this weeks Queen.
Now about this crown. I am wondering if there is any insurance policy for neck and back injuries. The doctor said that due to the weight of the crown, he would have to fuse C2, C3, and C4 to repair the neck damage. And due to the added weight, my buldging discs in my lumbar spine will also need a lumbar laminectomy.
Oh, and I needed to take some Vicodin for the pain and still had to drive to work, and well, Mr. Smith says he won't call the police or report the accident because he knows I was driving under the influence, but the damage to his car is like going to run into a few thousand dollars.......

OMGosh, what a story teller you are, sweet girl! That story alone would qualify any contestant for any game show win. What a girl! Buck up little camper. I never said wearing the crown would be easy now did I?

Wow, Anne, another Lady of the Orient, in all her mysterious beauty!! The DPs you have chosen to layer this card with have such a rich look, yet mysterious as well. I love how you left the image black and white, except for the smallest portion of her dress that borrowed some color from the buttons. Nothing but elegant, my friend!! Right up your alley!!

Hey! Frantic Shopper is where I shop! Please cease and desist immediately, young woman. Now..... is this a short haired flapper girl, an asian beauty or a cross dresser from the past? Tis elegant, yes, but what sex is that short haired beauty?? I shall ponder on that for the rest of the evening.........I do like how you've added a bit of colour to the image as well as your buttons on the card. Tis a lovely effect!! Ha! I have some graphic 45 paper winging it's way to me as we speak. Perhaps some day you can kid me about my attempts at vintage!! You are a bad influence - but we all know that!

Of course my girls on my stamps are a wee bit younger - you know - a little more in tune with what a young lady like myself might find to be vintage! ;)
