Wow, I was so glad to Sallie as the Featured stamper this week. I love her wonderful gallery and have been inspired numerous times by her lovely cards. The rooster is a symbol used in the Emmaus ministry and it is dear to my heart, so her rooster card in the background inspired my card. I loved that weathervane stamp she used, but I didn't own that one, so used my chicken scratch stamps from Mark's Finest papers instead. The sentiment stamp is one I found in a little stamp store that use to be open years ago in Victoria, Texas. I sure do miss it. It is there where my love for stamping begin to take off.

I enjoyed reading your account of your fondness of roosters and memories of a bygone stamping place you loved. Liz, this is a fabulous card...you have the essense of mine, but it is YOURS! Love your colors and that chicken wire design. Great rooster too! Thank you for your very kind words and creating this card today! Sallie
