I wanted to step outside of my typical style to make a card for my husband's birthday. He's always telling me to try new things, so I did.
I distressed the Basic Grey paper with creamy caramel and close to cocoa ink pads, used a "wood-grain" button from a grab-bag, put on some paper flowers from PaperWishes, tied on some stamped and handwritten tiny tags with hemp cord, and popped three copper brads in the corner. I went over the stamped sentiment with a copper metallic marker and added dots around the edge of the paper with a sepia marker.
I've never been very good at the very layered, mixed-media, vintage inspired cards but I do like how this turned out.
