To all of my SCS friends - I miss you all so much! I hope that as Autumn nears I will be able to stamp more and more, as well as visit with you all on SCS a lot more as well.
As you already know, I've had a heck of a summer with my MS. I am determined to get back to my stamps as soon as I possibly can....even if it is only a few minutes a day. I was able to do a few 6x6 scrapbook pages recently, which I hope to present in a little scrapbook to my SIL - the book is all about my little niece Norah. That is the page open behind the lovely flowers (more about these later...#. I used the SU Paradise set to stamp the leaves on the solid Basic Grey dp.
This summer brought another #unwelcome) surprise to our family. My Mom was recently diagnosed with MS as well. It seems impossibe to us that this 'lightning bolt' MS could strike at two of us in the same family. We are determined to accept what the Lord gives to us joyfully, as the Scripture teaches. But as you can imagine, Mom's new disabilities have caused everyday life to be even harder than it was before. Thank goodness my DH and my Dad love us so much that they take such good care of us.
All of this to say, things have been very difficult here this summer. Then yesterday the florist delivered this incredibly beautiful floral arrangement with a little angel placed delicately in the center. I am absolutely speechless. I can't remember the last time I got flowers...I think the last MS hospital stay...but lets just say I was surprised. At first I thought they must have the wrong house! The card was only signed "a friend from SCS" so I am not sure who I need to shower with thanks...You can not imagine what a lift it was to have such a special gift arrived in the midst of so much diffculty and pain. Whoever you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It just so happens that the angel in the center is a Demdaco angel, and I collect those. I don't think I've ever even mentioned that fact to anyone.
Anyway, to my secret SCS friend - thank you more than words can say. I am sitting in the living room near the coffee table trying to gather enough strength to go and get dressed...and the bouquet is right in front of me on the coffee table. I've enjoyed it every minute it has been here. Many heartfelt thanks, and much much love to you.

What a wonderful surprise and what a kind person sending you these flowers. And doing it without revealing her name is even more generous. Good luck to you and your mum, it must be incredibly hard, but I am glad that there are two wonderful men in your family looking after you!

I'm so very sorry to hear of your moms diagnosis...
It does seem like your family has gotten it's fair share of problems...I'm SO sorry.
I love this pretty flower arrangement someone sent to you... How thoughtful.
You are in my thoughts a lot Shell. Please give your mom a hug for me.
I just had my spinal fusion...so I'm not stamping too much lately either.
Love you xo

Isnt it just amazing the person who sent you this lovely arrangement never signed her name. She wanted to brighten your day without disclosing her name. Wow, that's truly selfless love right there Michelle. This is really wonderful.
I love the irises and the angel. This person must think of you as an angel. What a special delight for you to help you welcome cooler weather and great stamping days ahead.
