This is Choi the Koi fish. He's going to be heading to the East coast to cheer up a little Dante who had a bone marrow transplant.
Choi is an older fish and has many years of experience in the pond. He hasn't had to run from the "hook" but has had to hide from the owls and hawks that fly above. Choi has a nice rock that he hangs out under when the birds are flying nearby. If you whistle though, he'll come out for food and to show you his pretty silver and orange gills.
Choi is living the good life!
I stamped the fish with silver ink and embossed with silver. All the gills were colored with the transparent glitter pen, while the fins were done with orange and silver. His eye is a googly eye. Leaf ribbon is used for pond greens and dew drops are used for bubbles. Both the top and bottom of the image panel are put through the wavy corrugater.

This pretty little golden fishie popped up in the gallery and I thought, hey, there's a teapot card if ever I saw one! Oh my...what a beautiful fish Choi is! He's a might prettier than the boys, the Silver Fins. And it sounds like he aims to stay that way!
Love the water-weeds (I made that new word up!) and the wonderful blue background with the rippley water and bubbles! Dante is gonna be tickled with this one!
So glad you were able to come back to the teaparty this week! You did good!

Oh your story is so cute. Love this fishy. Great color combo and spectacular embossing. I really like the waves at the bottom of the blue card. &&&&& Welcome to the teaparty... (if they make you sit by the mad hatter, it is ok to politely ask to be moved...lol)

Wow, what an inspired card! The crimped waves and seaweed are great, but that fish is AMAZING. I thought it was fabric at first, it looks so textured and shimmery, like satin.
