I cased the layout from jmwfromva of the Hydrangea flower and changed my card to a 5x7 card and also changed the cardstock and paper.
I started with Almost Amethyst cardstock and layered a piece of Black and White plaid scrapbook paper made by The Paper Patch. I next layered with a piece of Basic Black cardstock from SU as well as my stamped image of the Hydrangea. I purchased the Hydrangea from HL and it is sold under the Rubber Stamped logo. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Markers. This is the first time that I have ever used Copic Markers and think it went pretty good. I used the Copic ciao B29 and Copic B23 as well as the Copic Colorless Blender to take off some color. I also used two watercolor colored pencils that were single ones that I had purchased to do the leaves and also used a blender pen for shading. The ovals were cut with Marvy punches and the gem stones were Doodlebug Design jewels. The Happy Birthday stamp was from SU's Well Scripted. The ovals and gemstones were mounted on a strip of Almost Amethyst.
