I am not sure this should even be uploaded but what the heck, it is my first altered anything! My beautiful DIL has some friends who are expecting and I decided to try to alter some frames. This one is for a room that is jungle themed. I painted the frame and clear embossed some shapes on it to give the wood some texture. All of the leaves are clear embossed and I have used about a pound of adhesives to keep all of this together. The baby is a girl and her parents don't care for lots of pink so I decided I would use just a little. My inspiration was the giraffe stuffed toy on the Decade Gifts website. http://www.decade-gifts.com/gift-338/Jellycat-Giraffe

What an adorable frame!! I love how the faint look of the embossing on the background, and that giraffe is cute!

Ah ha, your first ever altered project? That's pretty hard to believe after seeing what you've done to this frame. Is this not the sweetest thing ever?
