This card is for me because I am miserable today. I got stung by a wasp for the first time in my 47 years about 2 months ago. I was told that they don't have stingers or whatever (duh on me - what did I get stung by?) by my kids so I left it alone. I started to get a raised bump and there was something in there obviously and it itched. It went away so I figured all was well. Then I started to get numb between my toes and my left pinky, where I got stung started to swell up big time at the top joint there. It was hot and red. Wiping my hands after washing them hurt. then my left foot on the side started to hurt. In between all of this, I get a UTI, which really freaked me out because I hadn't had one since the operation I had on my right kidney in 1992 for a congenital UPJ that didn't get diagnosed until I was 28. So I figure I'd best see the MD. After I told him everything, I got the UTI because my kidneys couldn't filter out the venom that was left in my hand for a month anymore. Stingers continue to release venom which is why they tell you to get them out. So, from all of this venom overload, my uric acid levels skyrocket and what causes gout? High uric acid levels. You know, I'm too young for that and I get pretty bummed, but it's an acute case. I get colchicine to help my body rid itself of the toxic uric acid levels. The bottle said take one tablet every 3 hours AS NEEDED for pain. It's not a painkiller but more of an anti-inflammatory and will reduce those acid levels. I take one pill and then like an idiot, even though I didn't need it, take another pill 3 hours later. Oh my gosh. I was so green that I stayed up until 5 a.m. this morning and got up at 8. My office got real clean and I did a bunch of little stuff that needed to get done. I'm still green, but not as bad, but tired as all can be. Who would have ever thought that a wasp sting can do that to you? I have some sort of auto-immune disease anyway that I've never fully pursued, but I've had an orthopedic doctor tell me this when I got my knee scoped in 1996 and the nephrologist when I had my kidneys operated on because what I was born with stems from an auto-immune disease. I'd best get on top of my game sooner or later regarding this because as I age and weird stuff happens, my body isn't handling it like it should. I'm so always go, go, go, but a wasp sting is not going to kick my butt. I have a lot of friends and family praying for me and I'll be okay, but I am not too keen on taking another one of those pills later today and I'm only doing one.
I'm going to upload this card and then go to the pool and sleep hoping that I hear the timer to turn over. Gotta have that even tan, KWIM?
Thank you for reading this very long story. I hope you have a great day and God bless!
I made this card with Papertrey Ink products that I picked up at CHA, so it's really sorta my first PTI card.
