So who has some old Pearl Ex powder just lying around. I wanted to use some "glimmer mist" or something like it on this card but the color I have is wrong so I used an old technique I learned years ago to make my own. Take a full travel-sized bottle of hairspray and putting in some Pearl Ex powde (you can also add a few drops of ink from a dye reinker if desired). I used a copper color for mine without the reinker. I sprayed it on the red after I embossed it and applied some ink from my brown ink pad using the direct to paper technique I took a piece of "sheet music" paper and tore it and distressed it and sprayed it also and adhered it to the cards. I did not apply the adhesive to the edges of the paper so they could curl up. I made the flower embellishment out of the "sheet music" paper and a 5-petal flower punch layering 5 punch outs, putting a brad in the center and then scrunching and spraying with my "mist" mixture. The image is stamped on kraft cardstock with Staz On timber brown and colored with SU Stampin Pastels chalks.

Cindy this is gorgeous! I love the copper highlights from your mist! great distressing here too!!! never thought to leave the adh. off the edges so they would curl, but I LOVE it and will have to give it a try!
TFS!!!

I LOVE the vintage look of this. These ice skaters are one of my all time favorite SU Christmas sets and your work has shown them off well. I can see all the time you put into the elements of this beauty!
