I've had this basket lying around my craft room for quite a while. I had planned on altering it last year for Halloween and it never got done, so I was using it to store my unmounted stamps.
Then it dawned on me that I was going to keep using this basket, I might as well pretty it up! My stamp room's color scheme is black and white, so I pulled out the retired Night & Day DSP from SU! and used Mod Podge to add the paper to the basket, which I had previously covered with black acrylic paint. I then added felt rickrack on top and some sparkly ribbon at the bottom and finally, some striped ribbon all around the basket and handle, then finished it off wth a big bow tied together with a white button.
Simple, but definitely cuter than what it looked like before!

This is a fabulous project... makes me want to alter something... anything really... I'll have to see what I can find. Thanks for the inspiration!
