Ok, so this is the first time I've ever made a card using 5 different patterned dp. It was interesting to say the least, but I think it looks wonderful with all that pattern. This was created for DTGD10StamperSharon, DTGD10BevMom, DTGD10BevMom2, DTGD10Susannejdean, DTGDcraftycaro, and it also fits DTGD10notimetostamp, some of which I've met with other cards, but this fits 6! The little shaker thingies are the neatest way to create a shaker card. I always skipped making these types of cards because I didn't want to use all that fun-foam and glue, but I found these little shake it pockets by impression obsession and thought I would see how easy they work. (They ROCK)
I think this would be a nice holiday card for a single man because of the masculine nature, but I love the natural tones too! (I'm using this card design for a swap too - that was a good stone, hitting all those birds huh?)
The image is a digital image and I actually made two cards with it today, and the same dp, but the cards are so very different (this one and "wish you were here" also posted in my gallery). I watercolored the image using wc pencils and a water pen/brush thing. (Geesh, I never know what anything is called...) Some crystal glitter (MS) was used in the shaker. I did add some glaze to some parts of the roof and the trees as well as the shrub line and it caught a bit of the glitter as if the snow was falling.
Think 5dp's make this too busy? I like it but I'd love to hear what you think. REALLY I WOULD!!! Thanks for looking and reading all that rambling.
I did learn a very valuable lesson, sentiments can be stamped in a color other than black and they look fine... I hope to see more color in my gallery in the future.
movie- the lake house (reminds me of it anyway)
tv- little house on the prairie ( just missing half-pint)
and the rest are self explanitory I hope!
