This was a fun card to make and the moving part evolved out of necessity. I had it all planned out, then realized that the greeting I wanted to use just didn't want to fit as one image. After splitting it in two parts, I played around with the second part until I decided the only way to make it work was to make it pull tag. The left picture shows the closed view, the right picture shows it with the tag pulled out. I attached a string to the end you can't see so that it won't come completely out. When I attached the oval layers, I left the center part open so the tag could slide in and out. I masked the edges on my sentiment tags and sponged the insides pink.
All images are DRS Designs. The otters were stamped, die cut, masked and the sky and water were sponged in. I used markers to add a little more color. Since my otters are sisters, I made tiny little pink bows for them. The teal background was stamped both horizontally and vertically w/ the same bg image.
As I was working on this, I kept thinking of my sister and a funny story of growing up. My sis and I are almost exactly 2 yrs apart so we shared a room. Worked fine until we hit the teen yrs. She used to "borrow" my clothes constantly. It got so bad, I finally started hiding the clothes I wanted to keep away from her, under my bed. I've always been several inches taller with much longer limbs. She'd just roll up the sleeves or pants on my stuff, but if I wore hers, they looked like high waters. One day we got into an argument about something and did the "draw the line down the middle of the room" sister thing, you stay on your side, me on mine. (Yeah, like y'all never did that!)
So she's sitting on her bed looking really pleased so I ask "What?"
"Oh nothing. But the closet is on MY side."
I laugh. "That's ok because MY clothes are under MY bed." I swear there was smoke coming from her head. I look around, then I really start laughing.
"What?" she snaps.
"Oh nothing. It's just that the door out of here is on MY side." Yeah, that was sweet!
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups are on the DRS blog

Her being 4 years older, well, let's just say we get along much better now. hehe......your card is just a delight for the eyes. I love the image your used and the tag that pulls out. Such a wow kind of card. Love it. TFS :0)

Julie this is darling!! I love the sliding sentiment and your little seals are too cute. I thought you should know that me and my 12 year old dd just got quite a good laugh out of your sister story as she is the same size as me and is always stealing my clothes. We were laughing so hard there were tears!! Thanks so much for sharing that story with us, we needed a good laugh.
