Today's Try a New Technique challenge was to make a flower (not just using a flower punch).
I made my flower using 4 scalloped circles that I sponged with Tea Dye ink and crumpled up. Then I opened them up and attached a big black brad in the center (it has a reflection spot on it in the pic).
I used the same DP for the flower as I used for the bg paper.
I've made this flower before using 12 circles but you would never ever be able to mail a card with that thick of a flower on it!! Using just 4 circles is thin enough to mail (although it will squish I'm sure!)
Accessories: prima artful flowers, glue dots, foam dimensionals, sponge applicator - Ranger, scallop circle punch - SU, large brad - American Crafts Elements
