Hi! I made this card for today's TLC challenge: pounded flowers! I have to say this was a really fun challenge! What a great technique!
For this card, I squashed mint leaves with my Big Shot on watercolor paper. The paper smelled delightful after I was finished! Fresh and minty!! I embossed the resulting paper with a Tim Holtz ef, and then I spritzed with gold Smooch. I then waited for it to dry. When dry, I punched out squares and mounted them onto a black panel. I punched the bird & branch using my SU! 2-step bird punch in black. I ran black cs through my Big shot with my Tim Holtz flourish die and added that. I paper pierced a line below the branch, added old olive satin and black grosrain ribbons and a sun charm with a gold cord.
TFL and have a sunny day!!

I love how you embossed your pounded flowers. And still you have created a nice clean looking card even though steps of it were quite messy. Great job!!

This is beautiful and I like the addition of the black. I used smooch spritz in vanilla on my second card but it didn't photograph well Lovely job, my friend!

What fun that your paper smelled like mint! I did some yarrow leaves and the whole room had a lovely fresh smell for some time after I dejuiced those poor leaves onto paper. What a fun technique and as I said on your other card, what a great idea to emboss those wonderful panels. Great work.

Oh my, I bet that smelled good. My first flowers smelled so bad that even if they'd looked prettier I still wouldn't have used it on a card, LOL. I like the way you embossed it afterwards, and love your dramatic colour scheme.
