I've been re-visiting Bernie Berlin's ATC Workshop book in order to jumpstart some fresh atc's and found a technique for mica tiles that I liked. This is the result! I used a combination of 3 colors of alchohol inks to colorize the mica piece seen here, and when dry, it had a "watery " look to it, so I went with a beachy theme for the atc. Because I mounted it onto a piece of hand dyed tissue in metallic colors, my embellishments were kept in a similar vein. Tiny real shells, crystal beads for water droplets, and some mermaid style bling appear on the corners. Tinsel in blue and silver surround the mica also.

Oh wow Andi, this is really cool.
Well worth your effort.
Lovely image makes for a wonderful ATC.
Q: You printed the image on the transparency
Or - you purchased the image already on tranparency?
How do you keep an ink jet print from running? Duh? LOL
