Hi! This card was made for today's Free 4 All Challenge: Masculine cards and it fits this week's Speedy's Friends challenge of using a silhouette.
I have a son in the Army. He's 23. Amazing, right? And he is stationed, for the moment in Oklahoma. Can you believe that? A Florida boy in Oklahoma? LOL So, I decided to make this card for him, as we do miss him, and still do not know where he will be stationed next. We haven't seen him in 2 1/2 years.
The sun was masked and sponged in using Distress inks: Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey. Next, I sponged in the sky in Distress ink: Tumbled Glass.
The tree was inked with Memento Markers and stamped. Next, I stamped in the grasses, sentiment and birds with Adirondack Espresso. Adirondack Ginger was used for the sand. I used Palette ink: Waterlily green for the "sea."
The grasses and the birds are silhouette stamps. This set is called "Tropical Vacation."
Finished card size: 5" square
Total time to complete: 37 minutes (I had to rush a puppy outside! LOL)

AWESOME card, as usual! Nick looks SERIOUS, not ANGRY. I hope Markie is wrong and he is not STARVING! Please extend my personal "THANKS" to your son for serving in the Army to keep us all safe! God Bless him and and keep him SAFE!
