I know it's not even July to be thinking about Christmas, but I got an idea and wanted to try it out.
I embossed gold vellum w/Christmas tree cuttelbug and I got this problem -either puckering at the top when the tree top went in first, or puckering around the tree when I put the bottom in first. I did not use shiims so it was not extra tight.
If anyone has any advice I would be so appreciative.
Thank you so much,
Rosalia

I haven't experienced this, nor have I tried to do this on the gold paper, but it seems like there is not enough give in your paper to accommodate the changes that embossing does. How to remedy? Hhmmmm.... Not sure. Is there any way that you could make it a bit looser when running it through your machine? Good luck.

Have you tried spraying it with a bit of rubbing alcohol first? I do that with some of my heavier cardstock so there's a little more give to it. It dries quickly on cardstock, but not sure about vellum.

Gee..that's too bad. I don't know how to fix it unless you eliminate your top B plate and used folded sheets of copy/computer paper. This might make the folder a little more flexible and have just enough give to relax your vellum.
