Ever since I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil I knew it would be perfect for my mom for mother's day. My mom is actually a size 12, and has short hair - but she loves to hang out laundry and has done so all of my life. I had so much fun with this image and so much distressing it a bit.
I put this together yesterday and today - and gave it to my mom for mother's day - and she was very pleased.
It took me a lot math to figure out what size of squares to cut out as a background - for reference the a card measures 5 1/2 inches square, and I used 16 1 3/8 inch squares for the background.
I really enjoyed creating this card, and loved the result!! Thanks for looking! Punchakateers - I used just one punch - the modern label punch for the tabs.
Thanks again Dawn for your wonderful inspiratation.

Holy, what a fantastic looking card! That image brings back memories of my Mom hanging laundry to. Something that I don't see anymore. The bg looks wonderful and your coloring is fantastic!

You could send me back to the "old country" with this image - not that I grew up there but my grandmother definitely did! Great colouring and card. I'm sure your mom will enjoy it

Funny that I was talking about Dawn in the card you made before this one huh...I just love this image too. I remember seeing my mom hang clothes, and enjoyed handing out the pins to her. (Sweet memory there). I know your mom must have loved this and you made Dawn proud for sure also.
You got the vintage in you...does that mean you are getting old...lol What a comedian this early in the day right.

This image is so wonderful - so full of life (or maybe you just colored it so well it looks that way). I like your layout and I am glad you figured out the math on it. Super job! I think we should all go back to the times when we hung out laundry - can you image how wonderful our sheets would smell if we did? I think our lives would be better if we took the time to do this (and a lot of other things we use to do that took some extra effort).

Oh my gosh Debzi this is amazing. This image is just wonderful and you have colored and shaded it to perfection. I love your background and how it coordinates so well with the image. This is a real attention getter. I am sure your Mother really enjoyed this card. With your 9999 IQ that math must have been a cinch!!! I adore how you embossed and distressed too!!!

You certainly did go to the right gallery for inspiration. Dawn's work is incredible!! Debzi, you did such a great job on this MD card. And, used your 9999 IQ for the math computations. Very impressed. LOVE that layout, the image, the story behind the image and you really did an outstanding coloring job! Ooooh, I bet your Mom LOVED this one!! Great job on the distressing too!! Thought that might be Anne Ryan, but no red lipstick!! Way 2 go my Brainzi friend!!! TFS!!
