Here's my idea for this week's CAS challenge to use a flower or Mother's Day theme, so incorporated both. Once I sat down it took about 10 minutes to emboss this dramatic blossom onto vanilla cardstock. It took another 10 minutes to decide on a ribbon treatment as my first few ideas didn't work out. As much as I'd like to add pearls or something else, in the spirit of CAS I am leaving as is. This also qualifies for the Friday challenge to celebrate May Day with a flower!
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there. Thanks for your views and comments.

Outstanding!!! This is so absolutely elegant. Your embossing is wonderful, and so is your ribbon treatment. I applaud your omission of pearls, etc. This is perfect as is!!! Nicely done

Great use of the From the Garden stamp. I've always really liked it, but sometimes I don't get the effect I'm hoping for. The black looks fantastic!
