This card is quite a departure for me! It's the
B'day card I made for my brother, using a new fave of mine- Sticky Back Canvas. I really wanted this to have a very rustic feel to it, so I sewed the wee crisscrosses by hand. The felt rickrack represents FuManchu's hair and even has his famous topknot!
The canvas was painted with acrylics while the background paper layers are from WMS (stamped off once) and IO (wood grain). The little critter on the top left I made years ago with Fimo clay then painted gold. Made 2 holes for a button, but they look like eyes to me. Two little dark brown half pearls became FuManchu's eyes.
I'm very happy, albeit surprised with the outcome of this card. My brother (and his 2 teenage boys)will get a kick out of it, I'm sure.
Thanks for looking!
