I did this card with 3 groups of Stamp Campers, and they all loved it! I got the idea from Jaydee (the reverse masking). I cut out an oval from a quarter panel of cardstock with my Big Shot and an ovals die. Then I put the "template" over the Shimmery White cardstock panel and used my Stampin' Pastels (Summer Sun) with a Q-tip and colored oval. I had the color more intense towards the outside of the oval, and left the middle a little less colored, with some white for highlight in the very center (which you really can't see because of the stamped image).
Then I inked up my stamp with my Summer Sun and Old Olive marks. Put a post-it below the oval (I forgot on this particular card!) so that the green leaves don't go outside the oval. Then stamp the image, and if you want, you can add some more color to the daffodils with Yoyo Yellow marker, or Crushed Curry or whatever you want. Each one comes out differently and I love this technique! I stamped the sentiment and swirly with Always Artichoke.
Then I used my FAVORITE Stampin' Up ribbon - white organza! Take a sponge wedge or sponge dauber (or your finger if you don't mind getting inky!) and drag the cut ribbon between the sponge and the inkpad. Do this on both sides of the ribbon, and a couple times til you get the color you want. This ribbon shimmers even more when it's colored like this! This technique will give you our gorgeous organza ribbon in all the colors you have an inkpad for!! And the ribbon dries very quickly.
Thanks for looking! :-)
