Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge and the Dirty Dozen Challenge to go Vintage.
I'm trying to catch up, since I've been working on VSN samples for this Friday night! I swear, I'm dragging here! I set the alarm on the microwave to 40 minutes, sit down, and stamp. I don't even stop to go to the potty! Markie was laughing when I started talking to myself! LOL (Why don't you join us on Friday. Here's a LINK.
When I saw today's sketch I immediately thought of this image. I don't quite know why, but I've equated small rectangle with bird nest! LOL To make this more "vintage," I crushed the card stock and sponged on Adirondack Espresso. I used a butter knife to distress the edges and sponged those with Espresso. The nest was stamped in Epresso and colored in with Memento Markers. I sponged Espresso over the finished nest to make it look "aged."
Finished card size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Total time to complete: 48 minutes

Thank you for posting this. A mockingbird couple has made a nest my new spruce tree and laid 4 eggs. Your eggs look almost exactly like those she laid - that's pretty cool. Thanks for posting this; now I can keep it (faves) and remember her beautiful eggs long after they hatch.
