I'm a little late for this challenge, but it's the first chance I've had to play in a little while.
The challenge is to make a quilt card, and my 11 YO thinks this looks like a Vera Bradley handbag! I wasn't trying for that, but hey - nice compliment!
No stamping involved in this one: the 1 1/4" squares of DSP were run thru first with Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, then with Top Note die. The handle is created by using two Spellbinders oval nestabilities dies, and the clasp with Modern Label punch and a portion of a flower from SU's Flower Fusion sizzlit die (which was run thru the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug Damask EF first for texture).
Believe it or not, other than the white cardstock used as my background, this card was made entirely with SCRAPS. Even the 1 1/4" DSP squares were already assembled for me! I'm telling you, I get the most AWESOME scrap bags for $1 from my Stampin' Up lady. She throws in great stuff!
Thanks so much for looking.
