I nearly didn't upload this card as so many of us chose the beautiful tulips on this postcard as our inspiration, and I thought everyone would be fed up of seeing tulips made with the punched bird wings lol! But hey, I like it, so I uploaded it after all!
Plus, I used a new technique (to me) of partial embossing with an embossing folder, and am so pleased I managed it (after a few attempts)!
The tulips are, of course, using the punched bird wings - I got my bird punch last week so am playing with it lots! I shaped the petals using a pencil and mousemat, just so they curved a bit like real tulips do, and sponged the edges. The stems are a;lso from the bird punch, and the leaves are made from a punched oval.
The ribbon is from my wonderful Big Sis - I'm taking part in the Divine Secret Siblings and having a wonderful time! I've yet to find out who my Big Sis is - I think the reveal is at the end of May. Can't wait!
Thanks so much for popping by!

Wow - I favorited it so obviously I am glad you uploaded this Sally. I never checked the CAS gallery this week so I didn't see any tulip cards - I may have to go check them out though. This is awesome - I am now super glad I got the bird punch because I hadn't seen any flowers made with it! I also haven't seen this technique - can you send me the link on the tutorial or tell me briefly how you did it? I am impressed as usual!
I also didn't know about the Divine secret sisters - sounds super fun! TFS!!!!!

Yes, I did the punched wing tulips, too, but this is still very different. The ribbon and buckle are the perfect embellishments and the embossing is lovely!!
