My project today combines the New Technique challenge to make a book mark - and the CAS challenge where we were inspired by post cards of Macinac Island, MI - I was inspired by this Lilac tree postcard on the top left column.
I love to use these magnetic bookmarks to hold my place. I often tuck them into cards as little gifts to friends.
I made mine using a 5 1/2 x 2 3/4 piece of card stock folded in half with a piece of sticky magnet strip attached to each end. The bookmark snaps over the page and holds your place.
I placed mine on the top of the book page for this photo - but I usually put in along the side - marking the exact line I've stopped reading at.
My flowers are not lilacs but I inked them in the same colors using Dauber Duo inks by Tsukineko - you can just daub the colors where you want them on a stamp so it's easy to use multicolors.
The flower is a #496-01 a new release from Rubbernecker Stamps The sentiment is from Word Set #4.
