Congrats to Pat! What a wonderful gallery and she's such a sweet lady it was an honor to CASE her work. I chose her Gentle Place to case. I kept the water color feel of it and the image surrounded by white, but I changed the image, added a sentiment, some strips w/ brads and some embossed frames behind my image.
After stamping the toolbox onto water color paper, I colored it using markers and a water brush. I masked the toolbox and extended the floor just a bit and also sponged on the blue ink behind it. It was cut w/ a Spellbinders rectangle and the edges were sponged w/ sepia ink.
I used the same rectangle Nestie and the next largest size to create the embossed frame on the white bg. I added some thin strips of the dk ochre and some faceted brads. The brads were silver but I colored them w/ brown sharpie. The image was added in the center w/ a little foam tape for lift and he sentiment underneath it. It's attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 (A2) card of textured dk ochre.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
