I tried to play along last week, but after my third digi smudged, I gave up. I wish I knew why sometimes they do and sometimes they don't...
So I was determined to get something made this week, and in spite of a stinking headache I'm happier with this than I am with anything else I've made all this week.
I pulled out In the Wild for a quick and easy-to-use image. Masked and sponged the background, and used a Penny Black flower silhouette stamp upside-down for the greenery. Cut a corner off, trimmed a fraction off it, sponged all the outer edges and layered up on some orange Basic Grey. Found some checked paper in my scrap box which made me think of Indian Madras cotton and worked with my colours. Added a brad to the image panel and laid at an angle on my check. Heavily sponged the edges with dark brown.
Stamped a HA sentiment on more of the orange card, and trimmed the top so that the angle matched the way the image panel was laid on the base. Sponged the edges with brown and popped it up on foam.
Thanks, Julia - it feels good to have made a card I like with so little fuss.

Sabrina, sorry you have a headache. Hope it is gone soon.
The bkgrd. paper highlights your main image so well. I like the shape of your sentiment paper.

I really like your background and what a neat trick to cut off the corner and put it back on with less. I love it. The idea may have helped me with yesterday's challenge. Great card.

No way I could create something like this if I had a headache! I love the dp - madras plaid, have not seen that in a long time! I like the elephant and the angles you used.
