One more for this week's Limelight Papercrafts Sketch 43 (LLPC043) to use the given sketch and try to incorporate your favorite RIBBON. I have been having so much fun with this sketch, which can be found here: http://limelightpapercrafts.blogspot...43-ribbon.html
My idea for this card has been floating around in my head for days now--finally had some time to squeeze it out. The "DP" is actually a scrap of calico, leftover from an Easter dress I made for my daughter when she was 3!! I've always loved this print. Anyway, I stitched it down with my sewing machine.
I sponged in a fair-weather cloudy sky and grass for my main panel. I colored the egg images with Marvy Uchida markers before stamping them. I added some color to my hopping bunny with markers and a blender pen and ink. He's cut out and popped up.
The ribbon (a favorite--just love this bright pink!) was also from my scrap stash. I had a bunch of this in short pieces, so I made another ribbon & button loop flower. I tied the button with some purple burlap string--one of my favorite new embellishments (35 cents for 10 yards at Limelight Papercrafts!!!).
The outside reads "Wishing You A" and inside reads--of course, what else?-- "HOPPY Easter."
I'm so pleased with how this turned out. Plus, another Easter card closer to my goal!!
Thanks for taking a peek!!
Emily

OMG, Emily, this is the cutest bunny ever and the prettiest fabric bg, too.
Your button loop flower is awesome. I wish I lived close to you so you could give me stitching lessons. LOL I love your adorable card!

I think it is cool how you have begun to incorporate fabric into your cards in place of DP - I gotta learn how to sew! Another one of those cool ribbon/button flowers. I like your sponging background too!

Oh this is another stunning card where you've used textiles and sewing - I just love this! Your ribbon flower is gorgeous - I think it has a few more petals than the blue one you did recently? I really love it!

That fabric must've made a really pretty dress for your daughter, and it looks adorable on the card too! That bunny is so cute. Maybe I've seen another card you did with him, or maybe someone else in the gallery. But he has my heart, he's so cute!
