For today's TLC263 challenge, Very Vintage, and Verve's Spring Fling Challenge 5 (VSMARSF5) to recycle, re-use or re-furbish something that you already have in your house and bring new life to it.
I combined these challenges to make over a miniature heart-shaped candy box that I had stashed away after Valentine's Day. I made a paper flower by punching scalloped circles from the pages of a vintage book and rubbed the edges with some Palette moulin rouge ink. I topped the lid with some vintage-looking paper from My Mind's Eye and circled the lid's edge with some scrounged-up vintage buttons from my grandma's button box. I punched a strip of pink-tinged parchment cardstock with my new (but vintage-looking) MS deco fan border punch and wrapped it around the side of the lid. A quick stamped sentiment, "With All My Heart," punched out with the MS modern label punch, and a bow made of embroidery floss complete my re-purposed box. I think this will make a great little gift box--maybe for some handmade heart shaped tags??
Thanks for looking!

If I wasn't already sitting down, I would have had to sit because this one blew me away. That paper flower is so neat. Someone is going to be very lucky to get this!

Emily, what an awesome job you did on this vintage flower! And, to be able to use your grandmother's buttons...how wonderful. Your deco fan punch was perfect for this box. Great work on this re-purposed box. It will make a wonderful gift.

I love what you did w/ this candy box. How very clever to old it up and now it's just gorgeous. Love the flower. I've yet to do one of those, but I will!
