This card was made for today's Ways to Use it challenge to stamp something about play. Now personally, I don't play chess, but my DH and DS do so this card is for one of them.
It also uses a sponging technique that I don't use often enough, but one that I really like the look of. You mask your central area of your cardstock and then use a wedge type makeup sponge to sponge ink along the edge. Make use of the flat edges here to create a marble-like texture. This is especially good when you don't have cardstock in the right color to create a layer or don't want the weight of another layer or for scrapbook pages where you'd like some color along the edge, but don't want to use a whole piece of 12 X 12 cs just for that little edge of color. You can see this technique along the edge of the greeting piece and the main image piece.
Finished card size is A6: 4 5/8" X 6 1/4"

Chess was one of the games that crossed my mind - but without any chess pieces, a board wouldn't have been very exciting. Whereas with just the knight, you've made such a great masculine card. I love your soft colours.
