First of all, I didn't even know there were watercolor crayons in my house, until I started looking for some watercolor paper, imagine my delight at finding a little tin of 12! I did the technique a little differently. I colored the flower, then shaded with the pearl-ex+crayon mixture, but it didn't show enough, so I dip a wet paint brush (just water) right into the pearl ex and added detailed shading. Then, because I hadn't made any sort of background, I very carefully covered the image with glycerine and clear EP, so I could wet-wash over it all. Thank you Ellen for the fabulous tutorial!
