We are a family that loves games....of all kinds, but especially cards. DH and I played Bridge through college, and still do. We taught our kids to play cards as soon as they could tell numbers. Every Saturday night we have dinner with Tom and Cheryl, our best friends. Dinner is the excuse to play cards, which we do until we are exhausted. We play Oh Hell, Crowns, Golf, and Call. We spend the evening in uproarious laughter, and always finish with sore faces and tummies. I had to use this joker, and the sentiment says "You make me laugh". How appropriate!!
P.S. Tom and Cheryl are on a cruise, so #2 son and DIL are coming for dinner......and to play cards!!!

This is just fanastic. I loved your story too! My BFF comes over every Friday night for Yahtzee or Scrabble, so I can totally relate! I love that this is part of our ritual and yours sounds like great times are had by all too!

OMG.....some of our best friends and neighbors are Tom and Cheryl, too! How funny. This is a fabulous card and our friends would TOTALLY appreciate it. We are golf fans. I would love to hear how you play the other games. My MIL-86 and my FIL-93 taught us how to play golf and we always play when we're visiting with them. TMI???

Love your card, Anne, and the story that goes with it! Your colors with the beautiful flower fit perfectly with the image!

I love this, Anne!! The card game of choice among my extended family is Oh, Hell--but the aunts and uncles long ago sanitized the name for the benefit of all tender ears and we've always known it as Ten Down. We try to play whenever we all get together (although it doesn't happen very often since my husband and I live so far away from the rest of our families), the bigger the group the better. My favorite is when we have enough people to play with two decks--that's when I challenge myself to bid 0 on all hands and laugh hysterically when I get a chance to slough an ace of trump.
Love the card--that stamp is terrific!!
